WHAT ARE SQUIB FX RIGS?

Squib FX rigs are air powered devices that create the illusion of a gunshot impact. They can be worn on the body of a performer to create a gunshot wound or disguised on a set to create an environmental bullet hit. Our rigs can be used for film & TV as well as live performance.

Squib FX rigs are:

• Durable - can be reused hundreds, even thousands, of times

HOW DO SQUIB FX RIGS WORK?

Squib FX rigs are basically a hybrid of a squirt gun and a spud gun. The simple mechanics involve using air to push a load of blood or debris out of a barrel. The air is released with a trigger, activated by a performer or technician nearby.

Squib FX rigs are comprised of 4 basic parts:

1. The Load - stage blood or debris
2. The Barrel - holds the load
3. The Air - propels the load from the barrel
4. The Trigger - releases the air to propel the load
